This Could Be the iPhone X II

Martin Hajek doesn’t render phones often, but when he does, he goes strong. The proof is the fresh iPhone X II, which is shown below. A successor for the iPhone X is a sure thing, be it iPhone X Plus or iPhone X 2. Now let’s see how Martin envisioned it.
First of all, the iPhone X 2 has narrower bezels and a smaller notch, which is good news. There are 3D sensors at the front and back and the lenses are stacked vertically. Using this setup you can capture pictures and the sensors will also gather 3D data from the back and front camera at the same time. An “all glass” design may be featured on the iPhone X, making the glass wrap over the top of the iPhone, letting the camera and sensors capture data from the front and back more easily.

An interesting feature, which I didn’t see coming is the fact this is a dual SIM iPhone, which may happen at some point. However, I think Apple would rather go eSIM with switchable networks, rather than pure dual SIM.

The only problem I have with this design is that it feels too much like the iPhone X. Sometimes I find it weird that more people don’t complain about how glossy the device’s metal frame is… I think a switch from stainless steel would be welcome. Also, the black version of the device has some iPhone 3GS throwbacks…

iPhone 8 - More Bad News Leaks

Earlier today, we shared 10 big iPhone 8 revelations offered in a fresh new note by the world’s most trustworthy source of Apple leaks. KGI securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has proven time and time again that his inside sources are the real deal. He regularly shares accurate information surrounding unreleased Apple devices, and on Monday he set his sights on Apple’s upcoming new iPhone 8 flagship phone.
Much of what Kuo had to say in his extensive note to clients on Monday morning mirrored reports and rumors we’ve already read numerous times. The analyst says Apple plans to release three new iPhones in 2017, including 4.7- and 5.5-inch models with LCD displays and a completely redesigned 5.8-inch iPhone with an OLED display. To be frank, there weren’t many surprises in Kuo’s latest note to clients — and the one big surprise that was in his note was very, very bad news. According to the analyst, Apple’s next-generation OLED iPhone will indeed ditch the physical home button beneath the display. As a result, Kuo says Apple will achieve the best screen-to-body ratio in the industry among widely available flagship phones. That’s obviously good news. The bad news, according to Kuo, is that there will not be a Touch ID fingerprint sensor embedded in the screen, as we’ve all been expecting.

iPhone 8 White

In case you’ve been wondering why the iPhone 8 hasn’t appeared in white more till now, it’s because this colour is not at all flattering for the newcomer. That’s why we usually see it in black. Well, designer Martin Hajek, who hasn’t rendered an iPhone or iPad in a while now is back and he dared to go white.

The result is the iPhone 8 you can see rendered here, following the lines of the Benjamin Geskin designs and those of the latest leaks. The problem with the white iPhone 8 is that it feels as if it features a sort of fat bumper case. The dual back camera also seems to protrude more than usual, if you ask me, but it may be an optical illusion.

The bad thing is that even in spite of those ultra narrow bezels, the device still seems to have a sort of “fat outer bezels”. This white iPhone concept goes to show how important the hue is in order to change perspective. In this color choice, even the material of the back seems dubious. Thus, in spite of the fact it’s probably glass, it feels like plastic or metal.

Also I am the only one who thinks that flanking the earpiece area with bits of the screen is weird? It feels like Apple wanted to implement a second screen but changed its mind halfway through the process. Not contesting Martin Hajek’s talent by any means, but it’s Apple that may have this recipe wrong.

iPhone 8 Model Hands On

The iPhone 8:
What We Know So Far For many people, the annual launch of the new iPhone is one of the biggest tech events of the year. And with September rapidly approaching, you might be beginning to wonder just exactly what you’re going to be getting. Whether you’re into pre-ordering, standing in line, or you’re just curious, here’s everything we know so far about the new iPhone 8.
Insider Tip: Apple are rumoured to be having supply problems with the 8’s screen tech, as well as issues with fingerprint scanners. Even if the 8 does launch in September, more and more experts are saying that you won’t actually be able to get your hands on one until at least October. So be prepared!
How Much Will it Cost Me?
Yet another tough question. Last year’s iPhone 7 released at £599 for the basic model. But we’re likely to see the 8 go for slightly higher than that, due to a combination of factors. The first of these is simply the higher specs and better quality hardware that’s going to go into the 8, leading most rumours to say that the base price is going to be at least £650 or so. But Apple is an American company, and factor in a weak pound conversion rate, and you could be looking at even more. The top end, large memory model of the iPhone 8 is likely to hover around the £1000 mark. All this means that on contract you’re probably looking at about £45 a month or so.
The Design
Though Apple’s traditional iPhone design certainly isn’t going to change too much, there are rumoured to be some deviations. The iPhone 8 could have a curved glass back panel, rather than the traditional aluminium backing we’ve grown used to. You’ll still get a metal frame, though it could be stainless steel rather than aluminium according to one source. <>Headphone jack? Not likely. Apple have abandoned it for good, it seems, though you’ll probably still get that free lightening jack to headphone converter in the box. Home button? Probably not, surprisingly. It seems that Apple are moving towards non physical buttons, meaning everything will be on the touchscreen, rather than having the familiar circle button at the bottom centre. A small change rumour: the iPhone 8 might jump up a waterproof rating and get an IP68 rather than an IP67 rating this time around. That’s not a big deal though, it simply means your phone can take a little more water than before.
The Screen
It’s been rumoured for a while now that the iPhone 8 would get a curved screen, but it looks like that’s not the case. Rather the screen will be flat, but the glass bezelling will curve around the sides, giving the illusion of a curved display (similar to the display on the most recent Samsung Galaxys). The big news here is that this should be an AMOLED display, giving more brightness and clarity, and better colour reproduction than ever before. This is a big step for Apple, who have relied on LCD screens up until now. AMOLED displays are much better suited to VR, which is going to be a major selling point in phones over the next couple of years, so Apple seem to be preparing for that. Furthermore, there are rumours that this could be a Quad HD or even higher resolution screen. Those are unconfirmed, however. And given supply problems with high res AMOLED displays at the moment, Apple might only offer this option on the top end model or as an additional (paid for!) extra. In terms of size, we’re likely talking big: around 5.8 inches. That’s pretty huge, but Apple could be compensating for this by having a completely bezel-less front panel. No bezel means no home button (as we’ve discussed), but also means that the front camera as well as the fingerprint scanner sensors could all be placed inside the screen itself. This would be a major innovation, though rumour has it that Apple are still struggling with the fingerprint sensor tech.

5 iPhone and iPad charging myths

  1. Using Non-Apple chargers is dangerous If your charger is from a well-known company, and has the Made for iPhone/iPad label, then there’s no danger in using it to charge your iPhone. You should however be extremely careful and avoid cheap, knockoff chargers that typically cut costs by getting rid of all safety mechanisms in the internal circuitry. Most incidents of iPhone batteries exploding have been caused due to knockoff chargers, cables or batteries.

  2.  Don’t use your phone while charging This myth originated from an incident where an iPhone being charged exploded while the owner was using it. However, the actual cause wasn’t because the device was being used while charging, but because the owner was using a knockoff charger.
  3.   Don’t charge your phone overnight Most of us generally end up plugging in our phone for charging right before we go to sleep, so that the next morning, the phone is full-charged. Some people claim that this can damage the phone’s battery. The iPhone however knows that it has to stop charging, once it has been fully charged.
  4.   There’s no need to turn off your iPhone We turn off our iPhones way less than we turn off our computers. An Apple Genius says that turning it off more often will help improve the device’s battery life.
  5.   Charge your iPhone only after it discharges completely Another myth that keeps going around is that you should charge your iPhone only after it goes to zero percent. The truth is that Lithium Ion batteries, used in the iPhone, get damaged, and unstable if they go to zero percent.

iPhone 8 In Real Life!

See this Apple iPhone 8 Final Design ( Based on rumors ) in Augmented Reality by iOS 11 Beta ARKit ! The latest batch of photos of a so-called iPhone 8 have been shared with the public this morning. This version of the iPhone is one of three – so the story goes – with the iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus coming up first.
The iPhone 8 will be the biggest and best of the three – most powerful and most advanced in the entire Apple collection of smartphones. So what makes these photos so unique? This device seems to be sporting a large power button – not unlike that of the iPhone 7 Plus – and a pair of volume buttons. There’s a switch to mute the phone or keep the orientation of the display locked. There’s a SIM card slot, too – each of these aren’t exactly game-changing details. They’re basically the same elements as they are on the iPhone 7 Plus.

iPhone 8 - Flexible Version

Apple has always been a benchmark in making the smartest phones and immunizing them with lots of features and quality material. The next sensation in the market is said to be the Apple iPhone 8, Tim Cook himself said that: Don’t expect much from the iPhone 7 because iPhone 8 will create a real revolution and they are already planning and building it to revolutionize the future of smartphones.
Have you ever dreamed of a flexible smartphone? Meet the Apple iPhone 8 Flexible Version! A flexible device with spectacular design! Some details about the concept: - Option to put the device on the hand - Never broke - Dual-lens vertical camera - Fingerprint sensor behind the screen - All-new iOS 11 - Apple A11 Chip The concept was created by Andy Gilles and Ran Avni.

iPhone 2020

Apple’s upcoming new iPhone 8 will feature a bold new design, and not a moment too soon. After three consecutive iPhone generations that each feature nearly identical hardware designs, consumers are beginning to get antsy.
iPhone sales are slumping, and Apple fans are due for something fresh and new. Come September, it looks like they’ll get exactly what they want — a fresh new iPhone 8 that features an OLED screen, a class-leading screen-to-body ratio, 3D scanning features, augmented reality features, and plenty more. Apple’s lead designer Jony Ive has said that his dream is an iPhone that is a single sheet of glass. Some day, he may realize that dream (probably not), but today we get a taste of what it might be like to use an iPhone with a design that features one continuous piece of glass from the front of the phone to the back. In fact, it’s not just the glass that wraps around the entire phone — the display does as well.

$700 iPhone 7 Fidget Spinner Mod! Does It Work?

We should have known that this would happen. Riding on the fidget spinner craze, it was only a matter of time before someone combined the toy everyone is obsessed with and the phone everyone is obsessed with, the iPhone 7.
That's right, YouTuber EverythingApplePro drilled a hole in an iPhone 7 (and a couple of other iPhones, ughhh) and then inserted a ball bearing to create the most expensive fidget spinner yet. It's ridiculous and a complete waste of iPhones, but hey, sometimes you just need to fidget with something. While we don't recommend destroying transforming your own iPhone(s) into a fidget spinner, if you must, please be smart and take out the battery before doing so. Drilling through a lithium-ion battery is dangerous and will cause it to explode. Who know's what's next? How about Apple Watch spinners, or Galaxy S8 spinners, or Pixel spinners? Let your imagination run wild!

Fresh iPhone 8 Teaser Trailer

There’s no shortage of iPhone 8 teasers and renders these days, but since the flood of leaks has stopped a bit, imagination is running wild. For example we have a teaser trailer below showing a sort of chameleon iPhone.

This comes from ConceptsiPhone and it’s exclusively made by Wondershare and TunesGo. The handset doesn’t have any buttons, it uses an OLED panel and comes with 3 different diagonals: 4.7 inch, 5 inch and 5.5 inch. Wireless charging is also demoed shortly, but the dock unit used for that purpose doesn’t seem very sexy to me.

Judging from the video trailer, this iPhone 8 is a bit of a sci-fi machine. I’m saying that because it’s very transparent, totally made of glass and able to assume the color of the object behind it. Its frame has touch input support, letting you tweak the volume with swipes.

There’s something very ethereal and unreal about this concept, but the dual back camera does look doable. A curved side OLED screen has been mentioned at the end. One can’t help but wonder how the final product will look if this is just a teaser.

iPhone 8 Bezel-Free

It’s been a while since I last visited Deviantart and I seem to have missed the works of the excellent designer KaKoten. I’ve just come across two of his concepts, both focused on minimal bezels and some of the most awaited devices of the moment: Galaxy Note 8 and iPhone 8. Let’s start with the iPhone 8!

He’s showing us a device that gets an extra physical button, unless the Mute button suddenly became bigger. The Home button is virtual and embedded within the screen. The screen seems to adopt the curved corners of the LG G6 and Galaxy S8, which may not be such a bad idea. I’m guessing this is an OLED panel and screen to body ratio goes way past 80%.

There’s something about this concept that simply screams “Samsung” to me… It feels a bit too much like the Galaxy S8, but at the same time the Home button may just decide the differences. Meanwhile the Galaxy Note 8 is a rather standard affair, the likes of which we’ve seen a lot over the past years: a slab of glass and metal, with a wider body than the S8 and curved sides and corners.
The Infinity Display is still here, but the corners seem less curved. It will be very interesting how Samsung includes both a curved edge screen and also hides a stylus within a slot that would go below the curved part, without making the device too thick.

iPhone 8 Gets Secondary Screen Via Techconfigurations

WWDC 2017 didn’t bring us any new iPhones, but that was to be expected, since such goodies usually arrive in the fall. That doesn’t mean iPhone 8 concepts aren’t still flying around like crazy.

The latest comes from Techconfigurations and bets big on a potent front camera system. We also get that “secondary screen” thingie at the bottom of the screen, basically a touch area that includes a virtual Home button and contextual icons. nterestingly, the front camera is a 3D one and the back one has augmented reality, which was expected judging by Apple’s presentation at WWDC 2017. The designers behind this phone envisioned it with a 5.8 inch Full HD AMOLED screen, with 3D Touch, 4 GB of RAM and an Apple A11 chipset. Of course, the screen has ultra minimal bezel. And to top it all, the concept makers went all out with premium materials. This iPhone 8 concept features both sapphire glass crystal and a steel frame. It also remains waterproof.
There’s also a TouchID fingerprint scanner here and the back is all covered up with glass. The dual camera looks exactly like in the schematics, with a flash between the two sensors. We also get a rounded frame here and upfront we find an iris scanner and dual front camera.

iPhone X , the iPhone of Our Dreams

If you look at the current trend in the smartphone space, then it’s absolutely clear that bezels are on their way out. Apart from that, manufactures are taking things to the edge (literally) by adding a curved panel on either sides of their smartphones.

This is an aesthetically pleasing touch, and something which is believed Apple will follow as well with the release of the iPhone 8 later this year. Adding a display only at the front means that Apple would have to move the Touch ID fingerprint sensor to a brand new location. If there’s anything to take from the Android side of the fence, then moving the sensor to the back of the smartphone makes logical sense.
Also, the iPhone X concept envisions the device having a dual lens setup like the iPhone 7 Plus, except that the they are placed in a vertical order. But it’s absolutely unclear how Apple might go about this from a design perspective. Though we have leaked schematics that claim to be the real deal, but everything is still uncertain at this point in time. However, concept artists are churning out mockups from time to time imagining what the next iPhone will bring to the table.
Today’s concept is no different except that it looks like something straight from Apple itself, equipped with a Full Vision display that touches all four corners of the smartphone, leaving no bezel behind at all.

iPhone 8 will Beat the Galaxy S8

If we were to pick a winner right now based entirely on credible rumors—not just crazy concepts—we’d say the iPhone 8 is the more exciting device.

Several reports—some stretching back several months—claim the iPhone 8 will feature advanced facial recognition, an iris scanner, AR capabilities, and a curved OLED display that’s edge-to-edge.

Meanwhile, the device is expected to ditch the Touch ID home button for a “function area,” which may feature a fingerprint sensor built right into the screen. Think of it as a Touch Bar for your iPhone, something Apple introduced in the new MacBook Pro.

The iPhone 8 is also rumored to a redesign that ditches all physical buttons, and wireless charging that may allow users to charge their phone from a distance. Not to mention, it should come with a more advanced camera, faster guts, improved water resistance, 3D Touch, and iOS 11, which Apple will likely detail at WWDC this summer.

All together, the iPhone 8 promises to not only be the most advanced iPhone yet, but the most feature-packed smartphone on the market.

The Galaxy S8 will be no slouch: Rumors claim it will have a 5.8-inch display that’s also edge-to-edge, wireless charging, microSD card support, and a Snapdragon 835 chip, which a recent report said will make the device more energy efficient.
The device is also said to pack a new “visual search” function, an iris scanner, and Samsung DeX, a feature that will allow users to connect the Galaxy S8 to an external monitor. However, as we’ve learned in the past, features similar to DeX have been underwhelming, and it’s unclear what Samsung’s take on the technology will bring to the table.

Finally, Samsung is expected to introduce Bixby, though there have been conflicting reports about how useful the assistant will be. We expect the AI to be based on Viv, a company Samsung acquired last year. But a recent report said it will be a lot less exciting than we initially thought.

iPhone 7S Parachute System (Video)

iPhone 7S has been rendered a few times already, but this time we focus on another aspect: damage protection. Apparently, designer Sonitdac has envisioned the device with a parachute system, that will prevent the handset’s destruction when dropped on the floor.

This render involves a series of small propulsors, placed at the corners of the iPhone 7S. There’s a CO2 fuel pod inside and a system that measures orientation, speed and proximity. Valves and nozzles will distribute the CO2 and break the fall. The video below also shows the CO2 recharging tank that may as well be connected via Lightning or audio port.Just like the Tesla Autopilot, this would lead to countless silly tests, with people dropping their iPhones all over the place. Some will probably tweak the system and turn this into a regular jetpack, some may even go crazy and pot some NOS inside. However, nowadays CO2 emissions aren’t exactly a good thing, so seeing an iPhone spew them would make it seem like Volkswagen’s Dieselgate all over again.

Samsung Galaxy S8 vs iPhone 7 - Which Should You Buy?
